Terms of Service

Terms of Service for CivilCalc Pro

Effective date: April 19, 2026 Last updated: April 19, 2026 Applies to the Android app and civilcalcpro.com
Short summary.

CivilCalc Pro is licensed to you as an estimation and workflow tool. It is not a substitute for licensed professional engineering, structural design approval, surveying, code review, or site-specific judgment. Use the app responsibly and verify important decisions independently.

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the CivilCalc Pro mobile application, civilcalcpro.com, and related support pages (together, the “Service”). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms. If you are under the age required to make digital purchases in your jurisdiction, you may use paid features only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian and subject to the rules of Google Play.

2. Description of the Service

CivilCalc Pro provides construction and civil engineering calculators and workflow tools. Features may include project storage, saved calculations, favorites, exports, conversions, optional Google Drive backup, advertising-supported usage, and paid upgrades or subscriptions made available through Google Play.

Some features may require internet access, Google services, or current versions of third-party platform software.

3. Licence to use CivilCalc Pro

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own lawful personal, educational, or internal business estimation purposes.

You may not:

  • copy, sell, rent, sublicense, or distribute the Service except as permitted by law;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where mandatory law allows it;
  • remove proprietary notices, security controls, or technical restrictions;
  • use the Service for unlawful, deceptive, infringing, abusive, or safety-critical misuse; or
  • use automated means to interfere with the Service or third-party platforms used by it.

4. Backup, exports, and online features

Google Drive backup

The Service can offer optional backup and restore using your Google account and Google Drive app storage. You choose whether to enable this feature. You are responsible for selecting the correct Google account and reviewing the data you choose to back up.

Because backup files may contain project names, locations, notes, settings, calculation inputs, and results, you should use the feature only if you are comfortable storing that information in your own Google account’s app-specific Drive storage.

Exports and sharing

The Service can generate PDFs, CSV files, or text content and can pass information to your device’s sharing features. Once you export or share information, its handling is determined by the destination app, platform, recipient, or service you choose.

Availability

Some online features may fail or be unavailable due to internet outages, Google account issues, third-party service changes, device restrictions, or maintenance.

5. Advertising, purchases, and subscriptions

Free tier and ads

The free version of CivilCalc Pro may show advertising, including interstitial and rewarded ads. Certain actions or premium-style flows may require rewarded ads unless you hold the relevant paid entitlement.

Google Play purchases

One-time purchases and subscriptions for the Android app are sold and processed by Google Play, not directly by CivilCalc Pro. Prices, taxes, payment processing, cancellation, refunds, and billing practices are subject to Google Play’s rules, terms, and user interface.

Current paid products used by the app

  • Remove interstitial ads (one-time purchase): intended to stop interstitial ads between calculations. Rewarded ads may still be required for certain gated actions unless another entitlement removes them.
  • Pro Monthly (subscription): intended to unlock broader premium access such as ad-free usage and higher limits while the subscription remains active.

Subscription renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions may renew automatically until cancelled through Google Play. You can manage or cancel eligible subscriptions through the Play Store account controls linked to the Google account used for purchase. Cancelling a subscription usually stops the next renewal charge but does not retroactively cancel the current billing period unless Google Play’s own refund rules say otherwise.

You can also visit Google Play subscriptions to manage eligible subscriptions.

Restoring purchases

The Service may provide a restore-purchases function for eligible Google Play purchases. Purchase restoration can still depend on your Google account, current store availability, and platform rules.

6. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • the accuracy of any information you enter into the Service;
  • reviewing and verifying any outputs before relying on them;
  • maintaining your device security, passwords, and Google account access;
  • ensuring your use complies with applicable law, building codes, contract requirements, and professional obligations; and
  • using your own judgment about whether a result is appropriate for your project, site conditions, design assumptions, procurement, and safety requirements.

7. Engineering, construction, and estimation disclaimer

CivilCalc Pro is an estimation and planning aid only. It does not provide licensed engineering services, architectural services, geotechnical advice, surveying, legal compliance review, structural certification, or construction supervision.

The Service may use simplifying assumptions, standard densities, default factors, approximate formulas, user-entered values, or limited design contexts. Outputs may be incomplete, unsuitable, inaccurate for your circumstances, or inconsistent with local codes, project drawings, manufacturer requirements, or actual site conditions.

You must independently review and verify all outputs before using them for procurement, contracting, budgeting, site execution, safety decisions, structural design, code submissions, or professional sign-off. Where appropriate, consult qualified professionals and perform field checks, laboratory testing, drawing review, and code-based design.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, layout, branding, text, design, graphics, and other content made available by CivilCalc Pro, is protected by intellectual property and other applicable laws. Except for the limited licence above, these Terms do not transfer ownership of the Service or any underlying rights.

If you send feedback, suggestions, or feature ideas, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free right to use that feedback to operate or improve the Service without compensation or obligation to you.

9. Disclaimers of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, security, and reliability.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, current, compatible with every device, or suitable for any particular project, contract, regulatory submission, or safety-critical use.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CivilCalc Pro and its operators, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, use, data, business opportunity, project delay, procurement error, contractual loss, safety incident, or professional liability arising out of or relating to the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us, if any, for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, limit, or terminate access to the Service, or particular features, if reasonably necessary to protect the Service, comply with law, respond to platform requirements, address misuse, or maintain security and reliability. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling it and ceasing use.

12. Governing law and disputes

To the fullest extent permitted by law, these Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Mandatory consumer protection laws that apply in your place of residence may still give you additional rights.

If a court with proper authority finds any part of these Terms unenforceable, the remaining parts remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
